Has a convenient ramp for boating and kayaking...sometimes the gate is closed for access but can carry a kayak in with a long walk. Access to the Bull Run river is farther up and a bit more interesting paddling up river. Very quite and easy and peaceful boating.
Wonderful place to stay. Close to many historical sites and DC. Saw a lot of deer and other wildlife. We happen to be there when the Christmas lights were showing beautiful.
Besides having acorns falling periodically on our new camper the over all stay was wonderful. Nice clean friendly campground. The staff was super friendly, sending a special thank you to camp host Paul and Terrie, they were amazing. We had a issue with our air conditioner and Paul came over to assist us. Wow! We had a great site for our 2 german shepherds to run and play for a bit. We definitely will be back.
Very nice campground. Shooting range nearby provided constant gunfire noise but it didn't bother me. Quiet at night. Bathrooms very clean and heated.
Great place, cabins are clean and Hebrew awesome accommodations. Rest rooms are clean, laundry room is a plus. Only thing keeping this from 5star is an over zealous park ranger who threatens to kick people out. He needs to be counseled on public relations and realize he is not in the military. Campers Walking at night is not a crime.
